UPDATE: The implementation of the United States division of the Ultra Tuff Saddle Pad company is nearly complete. Wool from the same bloodline of Merino/Rambouillet sheep is now grown in Wyoming, combed in Texas, felted and sewn in NY and shipped from Minnesota. Same F10 rated and ALL AMERICAN. We expect the entire line to be available by the end of this November. Currently the following sizes and thicknesses are available for shipping now but orders need to be placed by phone. 100% WOOL FELT F10 MICRON FINE
Sourced from Merino Rambouillet sheep, raised with the strictest genetic and feed controls to produce super fine micron count fiber for “ultimate” wicking, tensile strength and compression control.
After each sheep is shorn, the wool fleece is hand-picked to remove any foreign matter. Numerous samples are tested to ensure it meets felting requirements – based on International Wool Standards. The wool then proceeds to a rigorous scouring and combing process to prepare for felting.
